Kilkenny’s Evergreen FC will have home advantage in the first round of this year’s Irish Daily Mail FAI Senior Cup.

The draw was made at the Kilkenny venue this morning as the FAI’s Festival of Football draws near a close in the county with Premier Division outfit Drogheda United emerging as Evergreen’s first round opposition. You can watch the draw replay in the video below.

The first and second round games will be decided on the day and the Irish Daily Mail are providing a €2,000 bonus for the non-league team who progress the furthest in the competition this year. The tie of the round looks to be the pairing for Dundalk and Derry City.

The games will be played on the weekend of 12/13 August with kick off times and ticket prices to be announced.
