Kilkenny defender Paul Murphy says he is happy to play anywhere in the team.

The Danesfort All-Star has operated at both full-back and centre-back since the year began and speaking to KCLR Paul says he is happy as along as he is playing.

“When your in the full-back line, balls might not always come and especially at this time of the year, ground is a bit heavier, ball is a bit heavier, the ball doesn’t travel as well, and when your out around the half-back line, there is more chance you are going to get a ball, but look your just happy once your playing.

“It’s not as easy as you turn up and you get a jersey just because lads know Joey Holden’s name or Colin Fennelly’s name, it doesn’t mean they get a jersey so look we are all fighting this time of year.

“Everyone want’s to start the league and play and kind of grow from there into the League. So any jersey you get whether it be wing-back or corner-back or full-back, where-ever it’s going to be you will take it, you will try and do your best and hold on that jersey for the year.”
