Antrim Senior Hurling manager Terence “Sambo” McNaughton says it is very important that they are hurling at the highest level possible in order to progress.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Christy Ring Cup Final, “Sambo” says Antrim will only get back to the top level everyone pulls together.
“It’s very important that we play at the highest level that we possibly can and to try and sustain that is going to be the hard work and if everybody puts their shoulder to the wheel, there is no reason why Antrim can’t sustain getting to a higher level.
“It’s not going to happen overnight obviously, but with help from Croke Park and Antrim getting their own house in order, I have always had a belief that Antrim hurling is good.
“We produce good hurlers, if we can get a bit of help from Croke Park and more importantly get our own house in order, why not (on getting to a higher level).”
