Dunnamaggin Defender Noel Hickey says that Castleblayney deserve credit for the way they made it difficult for them to break the Monaghan Club down in yesterday’s All-Ireland Junior Club Final.
Speaking to KCLR, Noel says that Castleblayney were worthy opponents.
Noel told KCLR Sport “You have just days like that, we hit a lot of bad wides and our first touch wasn’t as good and that, look you will have days like that”.
“Castleblayney are a good team too, they are not here for no reason so they played a good match in fairness to them, and they put us to the pin of our collar which wasn’t happening for us, but we knew if we could just get to half-time we weren’t happy with ourselves and said we could get out and get going again and then we would have a great chance, but it wasn’t until the last whatever five or ten minutes that we really got there” he said.
