Paulstown Boxing Club Head Coach Ollie O’Neill says you have to be very professional even at Juvenile level to reach a very high standard.

Ollie was speaking after a wealth of local success at last weekend’s Juvenile Championships and speaking to KCLR, he says the Coaches are leaving no stone un-turned for the youngsters to become a success.

He said “Juvenile Boxing the 11-14 years old is gone very very high (standards), from my own personal point of view even with our coaches, Jimmy Walsh and Frankie O’Hara and James Flavin and Aidan O’Neill spend hours and hours in and even with the girls now, we have girls Championships, they are coming up to the Irish (Championships), they are coming on next week and in our club we have four Boxers going as well, Marble City have a couple and Callan have a couple and they have Brittany Stokes she won the Cadettes there and she is going now in the European Championships in Romania so we are just talking about it Kilkenny, imagine all the other counties like Belfast and Dublin and all these places”.
