Quarter and Semi Finals decided for Carlow Football Championships

In the Michael Lyng Motors Senior Football Championship, the last two games in the league section were played yesterday evening.

The game finished up Rathvilly 2-9, Palatine 0-15 (draw) while in the other game it ended Bagenalstown Gaels 3-8, Mt. Leinster Rngs 1-12.

Eire Og and Rathvilly are through to the semi-finals while the Quarter Final pairings are Tinryland v Palatine, Bagenalstown Gaels v Old Leighlin.

The relegation final will see Mount Leinster Rangers against Ballinabranna.

In the Talbot Hotel Intermediate Football Championship, Kilbride and Clonmore drew 2-10 a piece.

The Fighting Cocks beat O’Hanrahans 4-13 to 4-11.

Kildavin-Clonegal and O’Hanrahans are through to the semi-finals while the Quarter final pairings are Kilbride v Naomh Eoin and Eire Og v Clonmore.

The relegation final is Fighting Cocks v Grange.

Also yesterday in the Junior Football Championship A, it finished up Ballon 3-5, Old Leighlin 1-7.
