Kilkenny Rugby Club Head Coach Ray Pembroke is expecting Scotland to provide Ireland with a tough start to their World Cup campaign tomorrow morning (Sunday).
Kilkenny travel to Wicklow for their 2nd Leinster League Division 1A clash of the season this afternoon, and speaking to KCLR ahead of Ireland’s match tomorrow morning, Ray says that Scotland have the potential in their back-line to cause Ireland problems.
He said “Scotland are a very very good team and they have some great players”.
“Finn Russell and Greg Laidlaw are two great-half backs, but where I think Ireland will have the advantage is upfront, Ireland will be a lot more physical and stronger and bigger, but I would still be wary of the Scots but I would hope to see Ireland win maybe somewhere between 6and 10 points is what I would think Ireland win”.
