Former Erins Own Bagenalstown Senior Hurling Manager Eamonn Kennedy says that St. Mullins always have a chance against any opposition as they possess two of the best forwards in the country in Marty Kavanagh and James Doyle.
After defeating twice All-Ireland Senior Club Champions Cuala last Sunday, the Carlow Hurling Champions now have a Leinster Semi-Final clash against the Laois Senior Champions Rathdowney-Errill to look forward to, and speaking to KCLR, Eamonn says that Marty and James don’t get the recognition they deserve for their talent.
He said “If you have two or three outstanding forwards which they do have like, they have James Doyle and “Mouse” (Marty) Kavanagh, two of the best forwards that you have in the country, and they probably don’t get the recognition they should get because they are probably in weaker counties like Carlow, once you have two or three very very good forwards I think you will always have a chance”.
