Carlow Senior Football Manager Turlough O’Brien prefers fixtures to be played on Saturday as it allows them Sunday to recover.
Carlow are in Chadwick Wexford Park for round two of Saturday’s National Football League Division 4 clash, and speaking after last Saturday night’s victory over Wicklow, Turlough says this weekend’s match will be a tough battle as part of a tough League campaign.
He said “Yeah, well look the Saturday fixtures are great because they have the Sunday to recover, the lads would be going to the pool in the morning and that’s a great benefit to them so we would prefer all the fixtures on a Saturday so but it’s a tough game”.
“Going to Wexford Park is a tough game, it’s one game at a time and we see where it takes us, their is going to be teams taking points off each other, and you might have a loss or two during this League and still be contention at the end of this League like so”.
