Anfield.

Liverpool need five more points to guarantee the Premier League title following a scoreless draw with Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.

Jurgen Klopp’s side can still clinch their first top-flight trophy in 30 years against Crystal Palace at Anfield on Wednesday – but only if Manchester City fail to beat Burnley at Etihad tonight.

Meanwhile Chelsea remain firmly on course to secure a top four finish

Frank Lampard’s side came from a goal down to win 2-1 away to Aston Villa, leaving Chelsea five points above fifth placed Manchester United

Olivier Giroud scored the winner for Chelsea – the result leaves Villa in the relegation zone.

Sheffield United could have gone fifth but the Blades suffered their heavyiest defeat of the season, losing 3-0 away to Newcastle

All three goals came in the second half and after John Egan was sent for Sheffield United.
