Limerick Greyhound Stadium PRO Joe Sheahan spoke to KCLR’s Saturday Scoreline about all the action that is taking place in Limerick.

As always, Sheahan gave a thorough breakdown of who to look out for from a Kilkenny perspective in the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial.

“’Luminous Light’ from the Lennon family in Freshford will be running in the first heat tonight. Limerick is a track that suits this dog.

“‘Epic News’ for the Kennedy family in the second heat is out in trap 6. He is out a bit from the rails but he’s a fast dog so it will be interesting to see what will happen in that particular heat,” said Sheahan.

The Talking Dogs TV commentator articulated the lure of this event that is well renowned across the country.

He said: “It’s the richest race in the world. All the top trainers and top dogs will be in Limerick tonight and it is one of the events of the year in the greyhound racing world.”

He also gave a tip for the punters who will be tuning in to tonight’s action from 7pm on Talking Dogs TV.

“’Derby’s Delight’ is my bet for tonight. I think he has a good chance at 33/1 so put your money on him for tonight’s race in Limerick.”
