It was a busy night of greyhound racing in Limerick and Shelbourne last night.
The semi-finals of the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial took place at the Limerick Greyhound Stadium while the final of the Open 600 went ahead at Shelbourne Park.
Sheahan gave a breakdown on all the action at Limerick when he spoke to KCLR’s Sunday Scoreline.
“In track 5 of last night’s second semi-final, ‘Luminous Light’ trained by the Lennon family from Freshford didn’t go too well unfortunately and he won’t be progressing to the final,” said Sheahan.
One of his many tips did come good last night, however.
“‘Sing Along Sally’ is still flying the flag for Limerick and finished second yesterday. She is drawn in trap 4 for the final next week. That is a tricky trap, but she’ll have a good chance.”
The Limerick Greyhound Stadium PRO also gave a rundown of the action at the Shelbourne 600 final last night.
“‘Beach Avenue’ didn’t get the start that was needed for Paul Hennessy in Gowran. It was a really tight race, and ‘Beach Avenue’ is a dog to look out for in the future but it wasn’t to be last night.”
