Former Carlow and Galway coach and performance analyst Steve O’Meara is the new manager of Tinryland senior footballers.
The Dublin native who is a member of the Ballyboughal club in his native city was head of performance analysis with Galway when they won the Connacht S.F.C. title in 2018 under manager Kevin Walsh.
O’ Meara has also worked with five times All Ireland club champions Corofin who have won four of those titles since 2015.
He has also been involved with the backroom teams of Galway senior hurlers and Galway ladies senior squad.
He took over from Stephen Poacher as the assistant coach to Turlough O’Brien for a brief period in 2020 while in his native county Dublin he has coached Raheny.
The new Tinryland manager will officially take up his role when team sport training returns on May 10th.
