Carlow native Pádraig Amond will be on the move this summer.
Having helped Exeter secure promotion from England’s League Two, Amond is out of contract with parent club Newport County and will be released at the end of the season.
He was on the cusp of a return to the League of Ireland this past January, a move that could still materialise for the 34-year-old.
According to reports, his five-year spell with Newport County was ended by a 25-second phone call after falling out of favour with former Newport boss Michael Flynn.
