Carlow bounced back from their big defeat to London with a 2-25 to 0-09 win over Derry in Netwatch Cullen Park.

Carlow led 1-13 to 0-05 at the break, and kept the pressure on in the second half , Derry finished the game with 12-men.

Theres concern however for Marty Kavanagh who suffered a heavy challenge and was taken off, he was taken to Waterford for a scan.

Manager Pat English was high in praise for his players after the game and that they deserve great credit for the way which they responded on the day.

Carlow head for Ballycastle next Sunday where they play Antrim at 2 o clock.
