In the end, it turned out to be a brilliant day of camogie at UPMC Nowlan Park.

The finals of this year’s KCLR Cumann na mBunscoil championships were held at Kilkenny GAA HQ on Sunday with games running from 11am right through to 6pm.

Ten teams from nine schools were represented with St. Anne’s, Conahy, St. Canice’s (A and B), St. John’s, Rower-Inistioge, Gowran, Tullogher, Urlingford and Bunscoil McAuley Rís in Callan all taking to the field across the day.

The Roinn E final saw St. John’s take home the schools honours with St. Anne’s having collected the Roinn D title in the first game on Sunday. Tullogher were winners in the Roinn C final while Rower-Inisitoge’s point-scoring proved pivotal in securing the Roinn B title. In the final game of the day, St. Canice’s A came out on top against a strong Callan side to secure the Roinn A title.
