Kilkenny and Tullow claimed victories in the Leinster League over the weekend, while Carlow’s J1 clash with Athy has been rearranged for Sunday following the postponement of their game with Athy due to floodlight failure at Oak Park.
Carlow were supposed to play host to the Kildare outfit on Saturday evening, but the game did not take place as the floodlights did not work.
Their J2s did take to the field however, with that encounter finishing 16-16.
Elsewhere, Tullow were convincing winners against Mullingar.
Their J1 team secured a bonus point win on a scoreline of 44-19 to back up the losing bonus point away to Wicklow in the opening round, while their J2s easily disposed of the Westmeath team in a 60-7 victory.
Kilkenny celebrated the official opening of their new gym and dressing rooms as well as their ground redevelopment in style with a 23-13 defeat of Bective in Foulkstown on Saturday.
