Sunday was a busy day in the Kilkenny Hurling Leagues.
On the senior side of things, James Stephens fell to a one-point defeat to Glenmore thanks to an outstanding display by Alan Murphy who scored 2-13 of Glenmore’s 2-18.
After the game, Murphy outlined the positivity around the panel and how that has helped them claim successive victories in the opening rounds.

“I suppose I was fresh enough coming back this year, just buzzing to get back to the club. Our second year of senior, it was the same as last year. I remember going down to Graiguenamanagh to play the Village, it was our first senior game, and we’ve been dying to play it for so long.”
“It’s unbelievable to be up senior, the time with intermediate gave us the best win we’ve ever had. But to be up senior now we’re absolutely buzzing with it, and to be involved in these games is unbelievable.”

Elsewhere Sunday, Clara put last weekend’s defeat to Dicksboro behind them with a 23 to 13 point victory over newcomers Danesfort.
