In preparation for the upcoming second round in the Allianz National Hurling Leagues, the Kilkenny hurling team, led by manager Derek Lyng and his selectors, has been announced for the clash against Cork. The match is scheduled to take place at Supervalu Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Saturday evening, with throw-in at 7:30 PM.
O’Loughlins duo Mikey Butler and Huw Lawlor have been included in the starting lineup, taking up positions in the full backline and replacing Padraic Moylan and Darragh Corcoran. In the absence of Paddy Deegan, Huw Lawlor has been entrusted with the captaincy duties for the match.
Darragh Corcoran has been relocated to the half-back line, displacing Richie Reid from that position. Additionally, Kevin Blanchfield will start from the bench, making way for Mikey Carey from Young Irelands, who will join Cian Kenny in the middle of the park.
The forward line remains consistent, with Conor Heary, Adrien Mullen, Eoin Cody, and Billy Ryan retaining their positions. They will be joined by Luke Hogan and John Donnelly. Mossy Keoghan and Harry Shine have been designated to the bench for the upcoming fixture.
