Ballyhale Shamrocks selector Colm Bonnar says they will be underdogs going into Sunday weeks County Final against O’Loughlin Gaels.
Speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s County Semi-Final victory over Clara, Colm says it’s always a tough battle when they play their County Final opponents…..
“I suppose the only game we played them this year was a kind of non-event. Both of us were qualified”
“It was only a matter who would come first and second so we couldn’t read too much into that but all we could do is get to the County Final and do our best and obviously O’Loughlins have done the same thing, but anytime we have ever come up against O’Loughlins, it’s a tough tough encounter”
“It will be hell for leather, it will be no quarter asked or given and I am expecting that our lads, I am hoping they can stand up to it but as I said I wouldn’t see us as favourites”
“It will be a hell of a 50-50 battle, because as I said I think we are in transition but we are delighted to get to a County Final”
