The Carlow county grounds will once again provide the backdrop to a big night of college action as the Electric Ireland Higher Education Sigerson Cup semi-finals come to town.

Fresh from hosting Carlow’s defeat to Kildare on Saturday, Netwatch Cullen Park should be buzzing with the final four in the competition meeting from 6.15pm this evening.

UL and DCU DĂłchas Éireann are the first game of the night, followed by the meeting of TU Dublin and UCC. The winners will meet in this year’s Sigerson Cup final at the SETU Arena in Carriganore, Waterford on Wednesday next at 7.30pm.

Tonight’s games are fully-ticketed, meaning there will be no sales at the Netwatch Cullen Park turnstiles. All tickets must be bought in advance from universe.com.

While this year’s competition didn’t work out for the SETU Carlow footballers, they will be represented by the hurlers in this year’s Fitzgibbon Cup knockouts with a trip to Dangan to take on University of Galway at 6pm on Thursday (tomorrow).
