Former Kilkenny Senior Hurler Richie Power says that Adrian Mullen is going to be a huge blow to both County and his Club Ballyhale Shamrocks in their quest for success this year after a phenomenal year he has had over the last 12 months.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Kilkenny’s clash against Laois on Sunday, Richie says that’s Adrian’s loss will be a huge gap to fill.
He said “A huge blow for Adrian himself personally, but obviously for Kilkenny and Ballyhale Shamrocks it’s a massive massive blow coming off the back of a phenomenal kind of first season with the Senior Team, Young hurler of the year, deservedly so”.
“I think Adrian is going to be a huge loss, I think his fitness levels have been phenomenal over the last 12-18 months, and I think it’s going to be a huge gap to try and fill, but it’s one thing that Brian always emphasizes is that there is a panel of players there and there is going to be a position up for grabs now and whoever want’s it most will put their hand up”.
