Kilkenny intermediate manager Aine Fahey feels Brian Dowling’s Kilkenny side will have enough to defeat Galway in this year’s All-Ireland Senior Camogie final.
Fahey believes the fact that Galway are clear favourites for the game on Saturday will work to Kilkenny’s advantage for Saturday’s showdown.
She said: “Galway are coming into this game as favourites and the pressure is on them. There’s no pressure on Kilkenny and that may be helpful.”
Fahey also highlighted the importance of the semi-final victory against Cork for the team as a whole.
“The display the team gave against Cork was absolutely tremendous. Beating Cork in Páirc Uí Chaoimh will really stand to them,” said Fahey.
The former Kilkenny camogie player believes that the team is stronger than the 2016 All-Ireland winning version.
“They’re a lot more solid and united. Fresh blood coming into the team have really established themselves as first choice names on the team sheet,” Fahey added.
