Following Sunday’s All-Ireland semi-final victory over Clare, the countdown is on to this year’s All-Ireland senior hurling championship final with Kilkenny set to meet Limerick in the decider for the second year running.
The Cats were 1-25 to 1-22 winners in Croke Park yesterday, a goal from Eoin Cody and late goalkeeping heroics by Eoin Murphy helping Derek Lyng’s side on their way to a return trip to GAA HQ in just under a fortnight’s time.
As part of the buildup, Kilkenny GAA have announced an open training night for supporters this Tuesday (11 July) at UPMC Nowlan Park. Entry will be via the new stand only (Ardán de Grás).
Fans are encouraged to come along in their black & amber colours to watch the players train and wish them well ahead of Sunday week’s All-Ireland final. While there won’t be any access to the pitch on Tuesday evening, players will be available for autographs and photographs at the front of the stand following the training session.
