For the first time in quite a while, Kilkenny’s UPMC Nowlan Park will host a double-header of All-Ireland camogie this coming weekend.
On Saturday, Kildare are the visitors for in the opening round of the Glen Dimplex Intermediate All-Ireland Championship. Kilkenny are in Group 2 alongside Wexford, Cork, Derry and Meath. John Scott’s side have a few tough games this campaign so will be hoping to get off to a good start.
Throw-in for that one is set for a 2pm throw-in with Fintan McNamara named as referee.
Then at 4pm it’s the turn of Limerick who have had a few nip-and-tuck games against Kilkenny in recent times.
Limerick had a tough start to proceedings last weekend with a 4-11 to 1-07 defeat to Galway in Salthill while Kilkenny travelled to Liatroim Fontenoys and brought home a 1-23 to 1-10 win over Down.
