Formula One world champion Sir Lewis Hamilton has signed a new one-year contract with Mercedes.
The British driver says he’s looking forward to achieving more “incredible things” in his ninth season with them.
He’ll go for an unprecedented eighth title when the new campaign gets underway in Bahrain next month.
Hamilton had entered the year without a deal in place to race in 2021, though the 36-year-old Briton and Mercedes always insisted it was a matter of when, not if, a contract would be agreed.

Hamilton and Wolff signed off on the partnership with around three weeks to go before they unveil their 2021 car.
Speaking about the news, Lewis said: “I am excited to be heading into my ninth season with my Mercedes teammates, our team has achieved incredible things together and we look forward to building on our success even further, while continuously looking to improve, both on and off the track”.
Lewis will again partner Valtteri Bottas who is also on a one-year deal.
“We have always been aligned with Lewis that we would continue, but the very unusual year we had in 2020 meant it took some time to finish the process,” said Wolff.
