Racing has been cancelled in Gowran Park today, with organisers currently looking for a date to reschedule.
There was due to be an eight-race card at Gowran this evening with the first off at 4.30 and the final race at 8.10. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Gowran has fallen foul of the weather this year, with the prestigious Connollys Red Mills Chase Day needing to be pushed back a week last February.

Speaking to scoreline.ie Gowran Park race manager and host of our own Clash Act GAA Podcast, Eddie Scally explained the reasoning behind the decision, “Unfortunately racing has had to be abandoned. We have had 50mm of rain since our entry stage a few days ago. The track was just deemed to be a little bit unfit for racing, there was a couple of spots still waterlogged. We will be looking at rescheduling in the next two weeks.”
We will keep you posted whenever the rescheduled date happens.
