Racing returns to Gowran Park in Kilkenny today with last Tuesday’s cancelled flat racing card taking place today.
There are seven races in all with the first going to post at 4.03pm, the last underway at 7.15pm with ground conditions holding as soft this morning.

Local trainer Joseph O’Brien will have a number of runners across the day with Shadowed (4.03), Grecian Slipper (5.13) and Carlo Bianconi (6.45) among those expected to feature while Kilkenny native Shane Foley should saddle Panic Alarm for Jessica Harrington in the day’s opening race.
Gowran Park will have a complimentary shuttle bus service running from near the gates of Kilkenny Castle departing one hour before the first race and returning after the final race.
