Having retired from inter-county camogie earlier this year, Anne Dalton will be pulling on the black and amber of Kilkenny on Saturday in Cork.
Goalkeeper Emma Kavanagh started in the defeat to Galway last time out but having since picked up a likely season-ending injury, Aoife Norris will be taking over between the sticks on Saturday, opening the door for Dalton to step out of retirement as sub goalkeeper.
While she might be down as the number 16 for the crunch clash with Wexford at 5pm, you won’t find a single Kilkenny fan hoping she stays on the bench, goalkeeper or otherwise.
There will be more excitement on Leeside as Katie Power also returns to the starting fifteen as her long journey recovering from her 2020 season-ending knee injury draws to a close.
A win for Kilkenny on Saturday means an All-Ireland semi-final against either Cork or Galway in Croke Park on 29 August.
Here’s how Kilkenny will line out – and you can catch the game in full on air, online and in-app from 4.50pm.
