Babs Keating says Kilkenny public “just have to accept what is happening” with county team at present

Babs Keating

Former Tipperary Hurler and manager Michael “Babs” Keating says that the Kilkenny public just have to accept what is happening and that it is unrealistic to continue their golden run going.

Kilkenny and Tipperary go head to head in Simple Stadium Thurles on Saturday evening at 7pm.

Speaking exclusively to KCLR, Babs says their is nothing to suggest that Kilkenny are going to come as strong again with the players they have lost……

“It is unrealistic to think that ye are going to continue with players like JJ Delaney, Mick Kavanagh, Noel Hickey, Tommy Walsh, Brian Hogan, the Kilkenny people they will never see those players again now and it’s easy then for the other players to back that up”

“Kilkenny Supporters  have to accept what is happening. Ye didn’t win a Minor for a while, Ye didn’t win an Under-21 and your County Champions have been beaten in the last couple of years”

“There is nothing to suggest that Kilkenny are going to come with the players that I have mentioned again”

We have live commentary of Tipperary V Kilkenny on Saturday with thanks to Country Style Foods, Grannagh, Kilmacow, Kilkenny. “as local as it gets”
