Tiger Woods has had back surgery for a fifth time.
The 15-time major winner is expected to make a ‘full recovery’ – after an operation to remove a pressurised disc fragment.
The procedure is called a microdiscectomy, and he had been feeling discomfort following the PNC Championship, a disc had been pinching his nerve.

He said “I look forward to begin training and am focused on getting back out on tour”.
It means he’ll miss competing at Torrey Pines and Riviera but he’s aiming to be back to be tournament host of the Genesis Invitational.
