The KDSL’s junior seasons returns this weekend with a whole host of fixtures to look forward to for local supporters.

The pick of the first ties of 2022 sees Evergreen A and Thomastown United A face off at the Kells Road as the top two continue their battle for the Premier Division title.

Both sides go into this clash with 13 points from their first five games meaning this could be a key game in deciding where the league ends up at the end of the season.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, there are two relegation battles in store on Sunday as Deen Celtic host Highview Athletic while Clover United welcome Newpark A to Rathdowney.

The final game of this weekend’s Premier Division action sees Freebooters A take on Bridge United A in the Fair Green.

There are three games in Division 1 as the race for promotion to the top-tier heats up.

Fort Rangers are at home to Freebooters B in what promises to be a tight game that could potentially decide who seals that all-important second place and a return to the Premier Division.

League leaders Callan United have a tough away game with Ormonde Villa on Sunday morning while there is a derby (of sorts) in the Kells Road in the afternoon when Evergreen C and Evergreen B go head-to-head.

In Division 2, there are four vital fixtures down for decision on Sunday.

Freshford Town will be looking to make it three wins from three games when they host Castlewarren Celtic while the top three all have games against B teams on Sunday.

River Rangers are at home to Bridge United B, Lions travel to Thomastown for an away day fixture while high-flying St. Canice’s face Highview Athletic B in Graignamanagh.

Last but not least, there are three games in Division 3.

Second and third meet in The Prince Grounds as Deen Celtic B host Tullaroan.

Meanwhile, Evergren 46 will be hoping to make a late promotion push starting with a victory at town rivals Newpark B on Sunday while Brookville welcome top of the table St. John’s to Ballyragget.
