Presentation De La Salle Bagenalstown Senior Girls Basketball team have booked their place in the All-Ireland B Colleges Final after a hard fought semi final against Salthill of Galway.
PDLS were in control for most of the game and held a 10 point margin going into the final quarter.
However Salthill converted quick fire jump shots to reduce the lead to 4. PDLS had to work tirelessly until the final buzzer and deservedly claimed their place in the National final. The final score was 42-36.
They now play OLSP of Knock,Belfast in the All-Ireland final on the 1st of March in the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght.
It’s the first time that the school has made it to a National final in this division and both squad and mentors are proud to be given the opportunity to perform on the big stage.
