Ballyhale Shamrocks are waking up this morning as 10 times Leinster Senior Hurling Champions.
They defeated St Mullins yesterday in Portlaoise on a 1-21 to 15 point scoreline
Speaking to KCLR after the game Manager Henry Shefflin said they prepared properly for the game….
He said “We are absolutely thrilled, it’s the second time ever to do it back to back so it’s a wonderful achievement”.
“We didn’t play our best game this year, but it’s about coming up and defending your title, I think it’s a testament to those players who had the hunger and the workrate to match St Mullins there because we knew they were going to come with that and much much more and I think that was the challenge for the lads”.
“I think we prepared properly, we wanted to come to Portlaoise and we wanted to give a good account of ourselves and that’s what we did”.
