Young Ballyhale trainer Ellmarie Holden sits on top of the Irish trainers’ table after day one of the new jumps season thanks to a 74-1 double at Down Royal.

Swantykay was successful for Holden in the Daily Mirror Handicap Chase at odds of 4-1 under Donagh Meyler, while His Dream won the Bet With The Tote Flat Race at odds of 14-1.

His Dream was a first winner on the track for Ray Cody, owned by his uncle of the same name.

From Ballyhale, County Kilkenny, Ellmarie Holden saddled her first winner just two weeks after acquiring her licence when Static Jack won a bumper at Gowran Park on June 18th, 2016.

She enjoyed a notable success when the Rachael Blackmore-ridden Abolitionist won the €100,000 Download The Ladbrokes Exchange App Leinster National Handicap Chase at Naas on March 12th, 2017.
