KCLR will be broadcasting full commentary of the game

Bennettsbridge Hurling manager Christy Walsh says they are refreshed from having a break from not having a competitive game for 2 months.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s All-Ireland Intermediate Club Semi-Final against Wolfe Tones, Christy says they kept themselves occupied over the Christmas period.

“I suppose, there’s no doubt some people were looking for a break and others were probably looking for it as well, but with colleges (competitions) and all that they didn’t get it, or get as much as they’d like.

We can’t have it every way, we are where we are, as they say, and we are looking forward to it now.

Over Christmas we were doing a bit here and there, what we were doing like everyone else this time of year if you have to play, we were looking for pitches to play on, which is not handy with the weather and the whole lot, but eh, id say we’re decent enough, I think, I hope.”

The club of course will be looking for as much support as possible on the day and have a bus running to the game in Banagher.

Last chance to get a seat on the club bus. Contact Alan on 086 3330836 and get one of the last few seats on the second bus. Cmon The Bridge.
