Bernard Horohan has been officially appointed as the Carlow U20 football manager, Carlow GAA has announced.
The O’Hanrahans clubman has worked with underage Carlow teams in the past and takes over at an exciting time for Carlow GAA.
In a brief statement, Carlow GAA wished Horohan the best of luck in his new role.
“Delighted to announce that Bernard Horohan has been appointed as manager of our under 20 football squad.
“Wishing Bernard and his soon to be announced backroom team, the very best.”
Horohan, who also owns Tile N Style Carlow, previously took charge of the Carlow under 16 and under 17 squad in 2018. His new job will see him reunited with many of the players from those teams.
It is not yet known when Horohan will be able to begin training sessions with the panel as all GAA collective training is currently not taking place due to rules the Association implied to help combat the Covid-19 pandemic in Ireland.
This year’s Under 20 Football Championship will be a straight knockout competition. The Leinster Under 20 Championship is due to start on April 3.
