Ballyhale Shamrocks were back in Croke Park on Sunday for one final roll of the dice in the 2022 club hurling series.
The five-in-a-row Kilkenny senior hurling champions and reigning Leinster champions went against Ulster champions Cuchullains Dunloy of Antrim to decide who would be crowned 2022 club All-Ireland senior hurling champions.
Dunloy have been here before though have yet to win the title, despatching St. Thomas’ of Galway at the semi-final stages in a cracking encounter while Ballyhale put last year’s final heartbreak to rest by sending champions Ballygunner out before Christmas.
