Having fallen to Clare last weekend, Kilkenny had it all do to against Galway on Saturday and it’s only the second round of the league.
Indeed, both sides – as defending All-Ireland and League champions respectively – suffered defeats in the opening round of this year’s new-look league leaving Kilkenny manager Brian Dowling to suggest that it’s the end of the campaign already for the side that comes out on the wrong end of the result.
