Kilkenny made a positive start to the defence of their All-Ireland junior football title with a defeat of London on Friday night.
Taking a four-point lead into the break in the evening game in Abbotstown, a 1-5 haul for Bennettsbridge’s James Carroll helped Christy Walsh’s side over the line in a one-point victory to set up a repeat of the 2022 final with New York joining Kilkenny in Croke Park this coming Sunday afternoon.
