Carlow & District League became All Ireland Champions at Oscar Traynor level for the first time ever after a 2-1 win over Kilkenny & District League back in 2018.
Graham Delaney’s header proved to be the difference in the end with Zak Youngram in goal receiving the man of the match award.

Kilkenny went onto to play the final the next year, but were once again defeated, this time by Limerick. Carlow’s success was never followed up on, and a team was not registered for the 2020 season.
