Bagenalstown Gaels Intermediate Hurler Craig Doyle says that their 24-point victory over Mt. Leinster Rangers in the League stages earlier in the season was a completely false result and that it will have no relevance at to today’s Intermediate County Final.
Speaking to KCLR, Craig says that Mt. Leinster Rangers are a completely different outfit to what they faced earlier in the season.
He said “It’s a game itself, I don’t think it’s anything to be judged on and come Saturday, I don’t think their is going to be a whole lot in it, either side, whoever wins, you have to remember their Intermediate panel is training with their Senior Team for the last couple of weeks there now so they are obviously getting good training sessions in, they are getting good games in against their Senior Team which will have obviously have brought them on leaps and bounds”.
