Kilkenny Senior Hurling Manager Brian Cody says it would be huge disappointment for Niall Brassil if he is ruled out of IT Carlow’s Fitzgibbon Cup Semi-Final clash against Mary I of Limerick in DCU on Saturday.

Niall went off injured in Kilkenny’s landslide victory away to Carlow on Sunday, and speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s game, Brian says it would be such a shame for Niall to lose out as he was moving very well.

He said “It would be a huge disappointment for him if he misses that, huge disappointment for Carlow IT as well, but we will look at that, maybe it was cramp we will have to wait and see”.

“Hopefully it’s not too serious, he was moving very well and we are just trying to juggle and Mossy (Martin Keoghan) had played, we just gave him half a match and Niall was feeling really really fresh and really good so we just said we would put him in, injuries happen and we will have to deal with it and see what happens”.
