Kilkenny get their 2019 Leinster Championship campaign off to a start against Dublin on Saturday in Nowlan Park.
Dublin have been in decent form and gave Kilkenny a good game in their clash in last years championship.
Brian Cody will have to plan without a few players as the injuries begin to Mount up and the league didnt go as planned however the Kilkenny manager says they’re not going to dwell on it.
He says while they would have liked to go further in the League, they need to look ahead now….
“I wouldn’t say it bothered me no (league campaign) , I mean that’s reality, there where we were, you go out and you play the matches and you win or you lose and we didn’t win enough matches to get through so”.
“There’s no point in being bothered about it so its just heads down and everyone is thinking ahead to the championship anyway, not that we were thinking ahead at the expense of the league either, that’s the way It was, this is where we are now, Its championship time and its that exciting time of the year.
We have commentary of the game here on KCLR on Saturday with thanks to Laharts in Kilkenny.
