One man that knows all about adding new players to his panel is Kilkenny Camogie manager Brian Dowling. After the disappointing semi-final defeat last year to Cork, Brian has had to add a few new members to his squad due to retirement or various other reasons.
Ahead of another All Ireland final next weekend, against the team that bested them last year, Dowling while speaking to Scoreline was full of praise for the new members of his panel.

“The aim every year is to get back to the All Ireland, I am sure most teams have the same aim and we’re no different.”
“You have to use the defeats to try to give yourself that motivation. Last year we were probably a little bit flat and we couldn’t get going in games.
“Even though we got to semi-final we only lost two games last year by a point. Everything seemed to be a struggle last year and this year through a bit of bad luck, we ended up having a new team and new players coming through, and I think that’s just kind of added a whole new freshness to the whole thing.”
“There is a great buzz around the camp at the moment. So we’re really looking forward to it now. “
