There are a number of games taking place in the club championships in Kilkenny this weekend.
The club scene now takes centre stage following the intercounty side’s memorable All-Ireland final defeat of Cork at the beginning of August.
The victorious Kilkenny players will be hoping to replicate that success with their respective club teams as the championship enters full swing.
The first game of the weekend takes place on Friday night when Thomastown face Tullaroan in the senior grade.
St Martin’s and Young Irelands clash in the second of the senior matches on Saturday evening, while Emeralds/St Anne’s take on St Lachtain’s in the intermediate championship.
There are eight games in total on Sunday across senior, intermediate and junior with the pick of the ties seeing last year’s senior champions Dicksboro host St Brigid’s.
