Camán Caint

This is Camán Caint, our brand new camogie podcast on Scoreline.ie.

We start this episode joined in studio by All-Ireland winning manager Mike Wall who helped guide Kilkenny to a first All-Ireland minor camogie title since 2015, the county’s seventh title overall, when they beat Cork this past weekend at the LIT Gaelic Grounds, stopping a three in a row.

We’ll talk about the campaign, the game, the preparation, and the overall occasion as the minors turned in a two-goal game-winning performance to dethrone the reigning champions in style.

We’re also joined later by Angela Kenneally, a woman who’s seen it all with Kilkenny and was part of the fold when the Jack McGrath cup was last lifted by the Kilkenny intermediates in 2016 – as it happens, by our own Áine Fahey.

How do things compare five years on? Can Kilkenny’s intermediates repeat the same as the minors and claim their first All-Ireland crown in a few years?

We’ll have a look ahead to this weekend’s game against Antrim and call the championships overall.
