The amount of cancellations in terms of sports fixtures has well and truly snowballed across the nation.
The All Ireland Senior Schools Hurling quarter finals featuring St Kierans and Kilkenny CBS have now been postponed.
The GAA are not making a call on the weekends Allianz National Hurling and Football League fixtures until tomorrow but obviously it’s unlikely that a ball will be pucked or kicked.
Kilkenny’s National Camogie League Division 2 clash with Laois is off as well.
Both Kilkenny and Carlow District Soccer Leagues have called their fixtures off as well.
The Carlow league have said that they will issue a new list for the following Saturday and Sunday.
The Park run in Kilkenny is also off Saturday and multiple more cancellations are likely to occur in the coming hours.
