Locally there was some success for Kilkenny and Carlow sides in The LFA Junior Cup

New Oak Boys were 4 nil winners against Harding FC with Cathal Gaffney opening the scoring for New Oak and Lee Walker adding 2 and before Dean Kelly got the fourth

Mikey Drennan and David Grincell were on hand to secure Evergreen a place in the next round with a 2 nil victory over Trinity Donaghmead.

All over here in Dublin, a fantastic win! From 1 down to come back and win 2-1 showed great spirit! Onto the last 8! Thanks to @TrinityDonFC for a great game in tough conditions.

While Thomastown was dragged into a penalty shootout after drawing 2 all after extra time with Kilbarrack United. Unfortunately for the Kilkenny side, they lost out 5-4 on penos.

Freebooters anticipated game with Beechwood, unfortunately, feel victim to the storm.

The storm played havoc across all divisions the last were days with the majority of games being called off. The Carlow league had announced earlier due to the large amount of rainfall and the poor forecast for the weekend all Carlow District League games that were due to take place on grass this weekend are off, however there was room for some astro turf matches to go ahead.
