The Leinster underage camogie championships continued at pace on Sunday.
In the Under 18 B championship quarter-finals, Carlow lost out 1-15 to 1-07 while Kilkenny were busy bagging goals against Westmeath. Scoring four in the first half, the Cats grabbed a further eight in the second half to run out 12-05 to 1-07 winners.
New Kilkenny manager Jim Smyth was hoping his side would give a good account of themselves against Wexford in the Leinster Under 16 A championship on Sunday.
Having seen off Dublin last week, Kilkenny got the result they needed with a 3-11 to 1-07 win in Thomastown. They’ll head to Offaly for the last group game next weekend. In the Under 16 B championship, Carlow hit three goals past Kilkenny B to run out 3-12 to 1-11 winners.
